Biographical Information

Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technical University and a Master of Science from the University of Michigan. Also earned a Master of Science in Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College and returned to Michigan Tech. to earn a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering.

Other Offices: Rogers was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Engineer Corps in 1987. His command assignments include: Company C of the 107th Engineer Battalion, the 507th Engineer Battalion, Commander of the 177th Regimental Training Institute and Director of the Joint Staff for the Michigan National Guard. He deployed to Iraq in 2005 as the Battalion Commander of the 507th EN BN in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. General Rogers most recently served the United States Army Material Command as the director of the United States Army Tank Automotive Research, Development, and Engineering Command (TARDEC), a Tier 2 Senior Executive Service position.
