Education: Attended Barnard College and Columbia University, and graduate of New York City University (A.B) and University of Pennsylvania Law School (juris doctor).
Employment/Military Record: Former law clerk for Supreme Court Justice Charles Levin (1978-80).
Community Activities: Member of boards of Michigan Legal Services, Coalition on Temporary Shhelter, Metropolitan Detroit YWCA, Jewish Federation of Metro Detroit, National Board of Governors American Jewish Committee, American Judicature Society, Women Lawyers Association of Michigan and National Association of Women Judges.

Other Offices: Elected to Court of Appeals in 1992 and re-elected in 1998; previously elected to Detroit Common Pleas Court in 1980 then served as a result of court reorganization on 36th District Court (1981-82); elected to Wayne County Circuit Court in 1982 and re-elected in 1988.
