You can post comments and positions on legislation, and upload documents, testimony and presentations before creating status reports that you can share with your team, clients or others.
Once you have tracked an item, you will receive email or text notices whenever there is activity on that item.
Use Gongwer's unmatched tracking system to follow key state boards and commissions, legislative committees and get alerts whenever there is news affecting your organization or your clients.
Click on the that appears next to bills, rules, committees and other items anywhere on the Gongwer platform or enter the number(s) of bills or rules you want to track in the box at the top of the Tracking page.
Bills and rules you can organize into tracking groups based on topics, clients or other elements that make your status reports more meaningful.
Bills, joint resolutions, and resolutions, which will update as they see legislative action. Administrative rules, which will update as there is administrative or legislative action. Legislative committees and agency boards and commissions, which will update when new meetings are posted. Legislation categories, which adds bills introduced under those categories to your tracking. Legislative actions, which includes bills with your tracked actions in your alerts. Special coverage, which will update when Gongwer publishes stories in one of your tracked categories.
Tracking an item automatically triggers it for alerts. You can also designate saved searches to generate alerts. You can specify whether you want real-time alerts as things happen during the day or a single daily alert at the end of the day, or both, in you user profile.
Gongwer provides a link generator that allows you to share any of your tracking reports with anyone, including non-subscribers. If your firm or organization chooses, you can also share tracking, and comments, among your subscribers without everyone having to track the bills individually.
