Employment/Military Record: Currently, I'm working as a Substitute Teacher in our local public schools but my background is working as a community organizer and nonprofit professional. This includes work for the Michigan House Democratic Fund and serving as a staff member on various Democratic campaigns, Central Michigan University Annual Giving, and helping lead a summer service camp for middle school and high school students to inspire and empower them to serve others.
Community Activities: I'm involved with the Canton Kiwanis Club, Friendship Church, Canton Democratic Club, and the Southwestern Wayne Democratic Club. Additionally, I've served on the Board of Directors of a soup kitchen, been Membership Director of the Canton Democratic Club, belonged to the Plymouth-Canton Beloved Community, sat on the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools Blue Ribbon Panel and the Sexual Education Advisory Committee, and organized volunteer groups to serve the community--making me a two time recipient of the President's Volunteer Service Award under President Obama in recognition of my volunteer service in the community.
